Yes, Child Matters is an approved provider for services under the WA NDIS and can process a plan under the funding portal for specific service requirements- under a transdisciplinary plan. Therapy plans can include Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and focused Therapy Assistant sessions.
Child Matters has partnered with Stepping Stones Therapy Services to ensure quality services across the entire south west region and has additional subcontracted arrangements with:
- Potential Therapy Services for Children
- Physio South West
Families may also self-manage funds to afford services should only one type of therapy service be required.
New diagnosis? If you have a child who has recently been diagnosed with a disability and you are in the process of planning for WA NDIS funding, we can help you. We can work with you and your local coordinator to determine your child’s therapy needs.

Helping Children with Autism and Better Start Initiatives
We are approved Early Intervention Panel Members and registered providers of services through the Australian Government FAHCSIA funding schemes for Helping Children with Autism and Better Start initiatives.
Additional rebates may be available for Psychology, Child Centred Play therapy, Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy services under Medicare. Depending on the complexity and/or diagnosis of a child a GP may be able to activate the following plans:
- 10 sessions under Medicare Better Access for mental health concerns – if appropriate to your child, this has the most significant rebates.
- 5 sessions under the Enhanced Primary Care / Chronic Disease Management Plan for Speech Pathology / Occupational Therapy.
- 20 sessions under the Helping Children with Autism for Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology Services.
Private Health Care
We are registered with most major health funds to allow for some of our fees to be claimed back through your private health insurance depending on your level of cover. We recommend you contact your fund to discuss your individual situation.
